So how do I make the change in myself to get what my soul is longing for?

Over and over Im left with what I dont want.

Lies, broken promises, an empty bed and a broken heart.

Im to the point I dont know what to do and Im afraid to try again.

When single, I think we are always secretly looking,

regardless if we say we want a relationship or not.

For its the person we are looking for

and not the title or label of our interactions we seek.

Its the difference between those that settle for the relationship

vs

those that choose to be with the right person.

What is Love?

Something so powerful and intricate its hard to articulate

but let me tell you this:

Its touch can put me to sleep

and its absence keeps me up through the night.

Yet its what gets me out of bed in the morning

and makes me work hard.

It strikes an emotion so deep in me,

its the greatest con artist I know.

Love made me commit and sacrifice my dreams,

Yet it was love that made me start all over.

It can not be bought or sold.

Its pure and without a doubt the most wanted thing on this planet.

Its what we think we have...but don't

Its a master of disguise.

Love is magical

Love will make you delirious and blind.

It will make you high and intoxicated,

its potion can take away your appetite, even your breath.

Love is what makes us human.

Love makes us feel alive.

I believe its the basis of every emotion we feel and express.

Love, it means all of this and so much more.

Thinking of my father tonight

I miss the sound of him singing and playing

and I hope he still does.

Im A Dreamer

Fact of the matter is, when you get to this point in life, you know what you want. You acquire habits and routines. Your puzzle piece becomes less round, more jagged and intricate. It becomes harder to fit. Therefore you dont waste the time anymore. Some call it jaded, I call it wise. I actually love getting older. I enjoy learning about myself and others and how we all relate to one another on this crazy planet. But then again, Im a dreamer.
