Cardio

I would tell you what I have ate in the last few days...
but it would be a horrible example of what to do.
I can be extreme.
Sometimes diet and exercise is all you have control over in this unpredictable world.

Justin Sato

Inspired by this financial advisor's trip to NYC
and his love for japanese comic art.
I created this piece with over a dozen fine tip sharpies
and thin layers of acrylic paint.
With lots of crosshatching and simple black lines,
I wanted to give it a print look.
I used single shades of thinned out paint
and pushed it around while it was still wet,
instead of using multiple hues and color vales.
If I were to do comic books,
I guess this is what my style would look like!

Steve Harvey

"The man who is willing to put in the time and meet the requirments is the one you want to stick around, because that guy is making a conscious decision that he, too, has no interest in playing games and will do what it takes to not only stay on the job, but also get promoted and be the proud beneficiary of your benefits. And you, in the meantime, maintaing your dignity and self-esteem, and earning the respect of the man who recognized that you were worth the wait."

You Inspire Me.

Sunday School.

Adam Lonergan

Happy Birthday!

My passenger seat as I was headed out to paint.
The world is my studio and the people are my canvas.

Thank you Mr. Grins.

I have some work to do.

Out of the doubt that fills your mind.

I cant stop listening to these lyrics...
over and over they remind me of him.
Its as if she is expressing
what I wish I could say to him,
if he were with me right now.
But hes not.
"I worry I wont see your face, light up again"

No I can't come down.
Don't wana make a sound.
Because im laying here watching him sleep.

Hafiz

‎"There is a Beautiful Creature
Living in a hole you have dug.

So at night
I set fruit and grains
And little pots of wine and milk
Besides your soft earthen mounds,

And I often sing.

But still, my dear,
You do not come out.

I have fallen in love with Someone
Who hides inside you.

We should talk about this problem--

Otherwise,
I will never leave you alone."

Live and Learn

Its been three years and I still cry now and then.
Not over him,
but for the loss of what I thought I had.
For a very long time I was lost with no direction.
But now more than ever
I realize that he never really loved me
and that wasn't right for me.
I have so much love to give
and it should only be shared with someone that loves me back.

The Glycemic Index

The glycemic index consists of a scale from 1 to 100, indicating the rate at which 50 grams of carbohydrate in a particular food is absorbed into the bloodstream as blood-sugar. Glucose itself is used as the main reference point and is rated 100.

The glycemic index separates carb-containing foods into three general categories: (1) High Glycemic Index Foods (GI 70+), that cause a rapid rise in blood-glucose levels. (2) Intermediate Glycemic Index Foods (GI 55-69) causing a medium rise in blood-glucose. (3) Low Glycemic Index Foods (GI 54 or less), causing a slower rise in blood-sugar.

Lucian Freud

Artist, Lucian Freud (8 December 1922 – 20 July 2011)
Artist Lucian Freud died yesterday at the age of 88.
Many people in my social networks are talking about him
and his work...
and what his work and what his subjects
(friends and family)
had to say about him.
I cant help but wonder when I am gone,
what will those that I have painted say about me?
"Unprecedented, intimate and revealing, this film weaves interviews with a large selection of work by one of the great artists of our century.

Lucian Freud 'Portraits' is an analysis of the artist as seen through the eyes of those who have been best placed to study him - his sitters. Over a period of two years, film-maker Jake Auerbach and Freud's biographer William Feaver filmed many of Freud's subjects, ranging from the late Duke of Devonshire and the now Dowager Duchess of Devonshire to fellow painters David Hockney and Celia Paul; from friends such as Brigadier Andrew Parker Bowles to ex-lovers, daughters and grand-daughters."

Cross Fit

Adam took me to the track tonight and trained me. I should have been able to go harder than what I did...but it had been so long since I did that kind of workout, or at least that's my excuse. Needless to say I almost threw up. So I drank a bunch of water and had an apple when I got home.

The Rain is Pouring Down

Im in an acoustic mood tonight.
Ive been thinking of the song
my father wrote about me when I was a child.
The lyrics have faded from my memory,
but I wish I could sing them now.

Alaska Men's Run 2011

The adventures of Amanda and Amanda
continue as they run for yet another good cause!

or any other activities related to prostate and testicular cancer!
It was a warm sunny day in Anchorage,
and a great group of people turned out to raise money and awareness!
I came in 10th in my age division
with a time of 52:30 thats running at a pace of 10:46 for five miles.
Slow Slow Slow.
But, I am posting this so I can beat my time next year!

Live Laugh Love

"If you wish to understand the meaning of what happens in your life,
stop giving it your own meaning.
Let the situation be.
Feel it fully.
Allow it to teach you why it has come into your life"
