Anorexia is for fat people

Tonight I cooked and ate a steak on my own for the first time ever.

While I was cooking it,

I texted Adam to tell him that I weighed myself at the gym

and I am 7 lbs heaver than when I stepped on the scale a couple months ago.

I told him that I feel like a fatty

and to sit down and eat a steak tonight

was going against every anorexic thought I had.

He replied with,

"Anorexia is for fat people"

I told him him I am doing what ever it takes to change my body,

and with that in mind,

I took my first bite of the steak.

Its been years since I have consumed one...

and I have to say it was very satisfying.

Kind of like a great orgasm.

I just wanted to sit there and relic in the after glow

and it left me wanting it again.

ARMS

Today I consumed:
A small banana,
6 oz of nonfat yogurt that contained 12 grams of sugar,
a small green salad with shopped chicken and tuna,
1 oz of dry roasted planters peanuts,
a hand full of fresh asparagus
half a pound of fresh king salmon
4 scrambled eggs with only one yolk.

I drank about 10 fl oz of gatorade
10 oz of water
8 oz of rice milk.

Exercise:
I spent 1 hour and 15 min at the gym. That consisted of;
1.36 miles on the StairMaster machine
4 sets of 15 assisted chin lifts at 130 140 150 160 lbs
3 sets of 12 close grip pull downs at 40 lbs
3 sets of 10 bent over bar rows...wich I failed miserably at in all aspects.
3 sets of 12 seated cable rows at 40 lbs
3 sets of 15 seated Precore rows at 25 lbs

One of my many Goals

What my BMI is now.
An obtainable goal of what it "should" be.

For The Record

Today I continued on my quest for a healthier me.
With the help of my trainer Adam,
I am building a routine of smart food choices as well as developing an exercise regiment that is fine tuning my lifestyle.
I decided to start meticulously documenting it here
to not only as Adam put it,
hold me accountable
but to also share it with you
so you can maybe take some of it and incorporate it into your own life.

I consumed:

A turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato a slice of cheese and mayo

1 oz of dry roasted planters peanuts,

a hand full of fresh asparagus

half a pound of fresh king salmon.

I drank about 10 fl oz of Gatorade

about 20 oz of water

and 8 oz of rice milk.

Exercise:

I spent 45 min at the gym. That consisted of;

1.5 mile warm up on the elliptical machine

three sets of 10 reps of

leg lifts

10 lbs presses, curls and flies on the stability ball

along with 70 crunches with 10 lbs arm extensions on the stability ball as well.

Then I went over and hiked/jogged up Flattop Mountain. One way it is a 1.5-mile (2.4-km) trail, with an elevation gain of 1280 feet.

Normally I would have brought my camera to record my climb. But I purposely left it behind...even my phone.

For once I turned off my multimedia recording to be alone with my mind.

"I gotta find peace of mind"

...and I did.

It was so beautiful up there. On my way down, I got a huge burst of energy while running, it felt fantastic! I will be doing that trail several days a week, so I'm bound to capture it at some point. Stay tuned!

Summer 2009

There was a point in time when I hid from the camera,
even with all of the world wide networking I did to promote myself.
I no longer have to hide
or
"control" my media.
This is me.
All of me
and I am going to continue my transformation,
and ladies, there is no reason why you cant do it too!!!
These were captured AFTER I had lost about 60 lbs,
And as much as I still hate these two pics above,
they are great motivation for what Im about to do
and will continue to do.
You can achieve anything you put your mind to!
Stay tuned.

Who Knew

We stumbled upon this
while on our way to pay the electric bill
...we were lost.
But such a great find.
Reminds me that I took the right step.
A step onto a stepping stone.
This is not my resting place,
Just my place for now.

I need to create.

Dont Ask, Just Do.

You found me here

You found my soul

You, who aren't afraid of beauty or depth

Ive been yearning for your intellect.

Alone between these sheets

my mind would wander through the night

but now, I find some solace here

and my kindred spirit can rest.

Falling Asleep Alone

Some day I will find sleep effortless again.
To those already there,
and those on their way,
Good night my friends.
I will be up building inventions,
creating new designs
and daydreaming of whats to come.

The Butte

Sharpie

"The man who arrives at the doors of artistic creation
with none of the madness of the Muses
would be convinced that technical ability alone
was enough to make an artist...
what that man creates by means of reason
will pale before the art of inspired beings."
- Plato

“My Mother said to me,
If you become a soldier you’ll be a general,
if you become a monk,
you’ll end up as the Pope.
Instead,
I became a painter and wound up as Picasso.”

Discovery Drilling

Kyle Brown of Discovery Drilling in Anchorage, Alaska
custom built this easel for me,
so I painted him and his family.
He is a master craftsman and engineer,
and I am thankful for his generosity.
